We plan to host various events, starting with our annual Hack for Change Hackathon. We hope to have ongoing projects during the 2018-2019 school year as well.
We plan to have a series called "Hack for Change" Hack Days in the Los Angeles area for students in grades 6-8 where each day will be a different approach to solving a community problem to encourage students to create products that benefit their community. .
As members of the student community, we encourage underrepresented students in grades K-8 to pursue programming. For this reason, we plan to have monthly workshops, where we teach coding concepts through games. This will allow students to learn the programming skills they will need to solve a community problem using technology.
